Grant and Alvernon will soon be a completely revitalized and our streets were recently re-paved.
We're safe from Dodge being reclassified to a collector street and the latest city re-zoning stayed south of us.
An environmental concern has been addressed with chicanes for water collection all along the north side of Glenn from Columbus to Country Club and our tree canopy around here is in pretty good shape.
At some point, we'll have FOUR bike boulevards criss-crossing our neighborhoods and we're only just south of the nationally acclaimed Chuck Huckleberry Loop which is attached to the wonderful Brandi Fenton park.
Dodge was always able to be crossed northbound or southbound on Grant and with the new right-turn only intersection this is no longer a cut-through street providing a more residential feel to the area.
Just across Grant at Dodge, there will be a water collection basin with what will certainly become a highly-visible landmark art-work at it's center. Don't forget, participants in this newsletter helped name that red coyote too and he will be known as "Dodger" once he's erected.
To our north we have Brandi Fenton park which could arguably be the premier park of Pima County and Tucson.
As mentioned previously, "The Loop" runs just north of us. Bike, walk and discover the breathtaking Tucson Loop shared use path, which winds through Pima County, Marana, Oro Valley, Tucson, and South Tucson. Enjoy why USA Today named The Loop the number one bike path in America more than once!
There's a lot to be thankful and proud of around these parts. We've come a long way in recent years and should be looking forward to the future.
